Rob Cochran, 37, was born, raised and currently resides in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University in 1987 with degrees in Applied Mathematics and Industrial Management, Rob joined the family business, #1 Cochran, Inc., as executive vice-president. Since 1992 Rob has served the organization as president and chief executive officer.
Since childhood, Rob has been actively involved in the automotive industry, and the experience serves him well. Under Rob's guidance, the #1 Cochran Automotive chains of leaderships has expanded to include two locations representing ten franchises that together generate over $300 million in annual sales.
Currently, Rob is successfully managing #1 Cochran through yet another expansion. The company's multi-million dollar construction project is nearing completion. When completed, the #1 Cochran MegaCenter facility will be the largest General Motors complex in the Eastern United States.
Rob has positioned #1 Cochran among the top twenty privately held businesses in Western Pennsylvania. His dedication to customer service regularly earns the company recognition as "Best Car Dealership" as determined by local newspaper reader polls. His company consistently receives "Distinguished Dealer" awards from the various manufacturers it represents.
Rob serves on the Boards of Directors of Family House and Junior Achievement of Southwest Pennsylvania. He also sits on the Pittsburgh Public Theater's Board of Trustees. Rob is a member of the Young President's Organization and is active in many of Pittsburgh's civic, charitable and social organizations. Personally and through the company, Rob supports over 30 charities.
