The Duquesne University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) offers no-cost, confidential consulting services and training workshops for small businesses and those who are thinking of starting a business in southwestern Pennsylvania.

 

Cancellation Policy

 

If you are registered for a class and are unable to attend, please notify the Small Business Development Center at (412) 396-1633 as other applicants may be waiting for the course. Attendee substitutions can be made at any time and at no cost. The following cancellation/rescheduling policy applies to all classes unless noted otherwise:

- 5 or more business days notice: Full refund or may reschedule

- Less than 5 business days notice: No refund, but you can reschedule to another course

Yourself@50+ breaks the choices down for older adults in an approachable way
through five steps:


• A careful consideration of the potential benefits and risks of working for yourself.
• Exercises to help develop the self-employment idea.
• A realistic overview of what it takes to pursue a self-employment opportunity.
• Guidance to help avoid pitfalls and scams.
• Ways to find trustworthy support and services.
