Infrastructure/Construction Industry Trade Mission to Mexico: July 10 - 12

 

Mexico ranks second among top markets for US exports. Mexico’s overall construction industry is expected to grow at 4.8% annually through 2018 driven by growth in the infrastructure market in line with government measures to enhance transport infrastructure. Ranked 38th in the World Bank Ease of doing business index.

 

 

New Date for the Trade Mission to Mexico City, Mexico:  July 10-12, 2017.
   
Focus Industries: Energy, Construction, Water, Oil and Gas, Mining, Power Generation, Cement, Concrete Fibers, Chemicals, Steel. 
    
Mexico Energy Reforms opened the market for foreign companies to bid on national projects. The Construction industry demand is growing for Made in USA products.  New projects are being constructed such as the Mexico City Airport, The Veracruz Port and the expansion of Oil Rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. 
   
The trip will be a matchmaking trip, not a trade show. It means you will target who you want to meet according to the profile you sent us. It is a customized trip with pre-arranged matchmaking appointments with both the Mexico Federal Government entities in energy and construction as well as business meetings with private sector distributors, sales reps and agents.  This is the best way to find sales reps in Mexico and the best use of your financial resources because it is a targeted trip.
 
 
Itinerary:
Monday, July 10: Travel to Mexico City.
Tuesday, July 11:
  • Morning – Meetings with Mexico Federal Government entities
  • Afternoon - Meetings with Private Sector Mexican businesses who want to distribute or rep your product in Mexico.
  • Evening – Business Reception with representatives of the private sector and a group of Mexican distributors and sales reps.
Wednesday, July 12: All day – Meetings with Private Sector Mexican companies, distributors, sales reps.

Transportation to meetings as well as translator services are included on registration fee.
 
Free breakfast at hotel and free access to hotel room for business appointments.
We have blocked a group of rooms at the hotel for your convenience. Note: Air travel, hotel and meals are your company’s responsibilities.  The trade mission covers for the making of the appointments, transportation, translators, business reception.
 
Registration:
  1. If you are interested, fill out the Gold Key Form & Success Agreement (links provided below).
  2. Conference call appointment with Mexico personnel at the U.S. Commercial Service in Mexico City to determine market potential, goals for the trip and the details of your product benefit, customers and strategies.
  3. Once it is determined there is a market demand for your product, then proceed to fill out the Participation Agreement, Impact Award Form & 641 Form (links also provided below).
  4. Fee: $2100 (minus the IMPACT PROJECT Award of $500) = You pay $1600.
       
The IMPACT PROJECT is funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration, MDCP grant. The goal is to increase U.S. exports to Latin American countries members of the Pacific Alliance: Mexico, Colombia, Peru and Chile. www.sbdc.duq.edu/impact
