Andrew Rupp having haled from a family with a long history of entrepreneurship and business-minded family members had a lifelong desire to pursue a profession in chiropractic medicine. Extremely interested in kinesiology (the physiology of body movement) and general health and fitness his desire was to open a practice encompassing these approaches to how he would treat patients.

After gaining experience in general chiropractic care and falling back on his desire to open his own practice he began his quest to do so. Realizing he was going to need working capital he approached his local bank. He was advised to contact the Duquesne Small Business Development Center (SBDC) as he would need a business plan and cash flow projections.

DR. Rupp contacted the SBDC and thus began the journey towards his success. “When I began to work with the SBDC I thought to myself how in the world will I ever be able to do and meet these requirements” said Dr. Rupp. Rich Longo, Business Consultant served as a steadfast resource and council throughout the process. Dr Rupp said “had it not been for the guidance, critique and assistance by Rich I would have never been able to meet the requirements necessary to obtain a loan”. “Working with Dr. Rupp has been one of the most satisfying and fulfilling consulting engagements I have had” said Rich. You know early on when clients are serious and it was obvious with Andrew Rupp from the beginning.

For Dr. Rupp and Thrive Chiropractic a dream has come true and the SBDC is largely credited for making the dream become a reality. Andrew’s dad and mom expressed particular gratitude to the SBDC for making their son’s success. With a tear in his eye Mr Rupp said “I can’t thank you enough Rich and the efforts of the SBDC to make Andy’s desire a reality”
