Procedures to Apply

 

  1. Fill out the Success Agreement, the Request for Consulting, the IMPACT Award Form and the Gold Key Forms and send them to Brent Rondon at rondon@duq.edu.
  2. We will review the forms before we introduce the company to the "market assessment" team in Mexico, Chile and Peru. Steven Murray from the U.S. Commercial Service will be the contact person. You will be introduced to Steven via email.
  3. The form will go to Mexico, Chile and Peru offices.
  4. Conference Call between you and Mexico, Chile and Peru to review the forms and discuss your company, product and target market.
  5. The US Embassies in Mexico, Chile and Peru will then come back with a go/no go response.
  6. Up until this point, there are no fees exchanged; it is a free assessment.
  7. If you are a approved, then the fees will be the following:

 

Sept 5:             Travel time to destination country
Sept 6:             Matchmaking: Mexico (Mexico City),                                                                  $1000
Sept 7-9:          Business Forum & Matchmaking: Chile (Santiago) + 22 Country Officers         $1900
Sept 12-13:      Matchmaking: Peru (Lima)                                                                                   $1000
Total:                                                                                                                                              $3900
IMPACT PROJECT AWARD: $500:                                                                                           $3400

ARC GRANT: 50% of $1900 = $950:                                                                                          $2450

 

Mexico and Peru are Optional. Chile is a required country on the TRADE WINDS trade mission project itinerary.


 

U.S. Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) grants are applicable to companies located in the Appalachian Mountains from southern New York to northern Mississippi. It includes all of West Virginia and parts of 12 other states: Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
You might also qualify for the STEP grant.

The base fee is $1900 for the conference and the business matchmaking called “Mission Stop”

Conference program in Santiago, Chile from September 7-9, 2016.

This includes:

2 networking receptions

2 networking lunches

Meetings with U.S. Diplomats from across the region (20 minute increments).

One market (Mission Stop) for “business matchmaking”

You must indicate your markets of interest under the Mission Stop section.

Should you have interest in and potential for “business matchmaking” in more than one market, you may travel to multiple markets for an additional $1,000 per country (Mission Stop).

 

Forum Only:  The fee is $950 (per person) for the Forum and Conference Only:

Conference program in Santiago, Chile from September 7-9, 2016

It includes:

The Trade Winds Forum Only option does not include “business matchmaking” meetings in any of the mission stops.
