Normative Leadership Series: (Part 2) Working With Groups

This is an in-person workshop.

In Part 1 of the Normative Leadership Series, you learned the foundation for understanding the “how to” process of culture change within the organization, along with the science of facilitating a more effective 1-1 meeting. Now, in Part 2, you will learn skills for working with group behavior.

This program will emphasize skills such as:

  • How to “read” group dynamics.
  • How to facilitate groups when dealing with tasks (problems) or process (feelings).
  • How to build trust within a group.
  • How to resolve conflict in groups.
  • How to use your Normative Leadership skills in building a strong, team culture.

NOTE: It is recommended that participants complete the Normative Leadership Part 1 program prior to attending Part 2, However, this is not a requirement.

The content of this program is as follows: Normative Leadership Series: Part 2 (1 Day)

Understanding Group Dynamics/Teambuilding

Morning Session: (9:00 -12:00)

  • Review of Part 1.
  • Group exercise: The basics of group dynamics.
  • How to understand and “read” group dynamics.
  • How to resolve interpersonal team conflict within the group. (Process)

Lunch break: (12:00 - 1:00)

Afternoon Session: (1:00 - 4:00)

  • Group exercise: NASA
  • How to facilitate team meetings. (Task)
  • How to use the problem-solving process in meetings.
  • Your Normative “Game Plan”/Wrap up
