Pro Bono Legal Services Program Celebrates Resounding Success
The Duquesne University Palumbo-Donahue School of Business Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is proud to announce the resounding success of its Pro Bono Legal Services Program for Small Businesses, a groundbreaking initiative that has already made a significant impact on the local entrepreneurial community.
The program, designed to provide free legal support to emerging and existing small businesses, has garnered widespread praise from participants and community leaders alike. “The proof is in the pudding,” said Rich Longo, Director of the Duquesne SBDC and a key figure in the program’s development, referencing the many heartfelt testimonials received from grateful business owners.
To celebrate the program’s achievements and express gratitude to the dedicated legal professionals and volunteers, a Recognition Breakfast was held on June 19th. The event brought together clients, legal advisors, and university representatives to honor the collaborative spirit and credible work being done to uplift the small business community.
One client captured the essence of the program’s impact, stating, “If it were not for this pro bono legal services program, I would not be successfully getting my business off the ground.”
The Duquesne SBDC remains committed to empowering small businesses through accessible resources, expert guidance, and community-driven support. The success of this initiative underscores the vital role that legal assistance plays in fostering entrepreneurship and economic growth.
